By now we are all aware of the severity of COVID-19 and probably exhausted from the anxiety of it all. While we don’t want to add to the stress, we do want to let you know how we’re dealing with it at AJ Grant.

As the global concern about the current COVID-19 outbreak grows again and with the new restrictions being announced by the Premier of NSW, we are taking proactive steps to keep everyone healthy and safe in the workplace while minimising the disruption to our day-to-day operations.

From 20 December all states and territories have applied travel restrictions over the Christmas and New Year period and this will no doubt cause some disruption to holidays, social gatherings and work requirements.

First and foremost, AJ Grant wants to maintain a safe workplace and encourage and/or adopt practices to protect the health of anyone working for us. We also want to ensure the continuity of business operations during this pandemic.

To make sure we do whatever we can to help contain the virus from our workplaces and sites, we will be following the Health Organisations recommendations and reintroducing all COVID-19 practices:

• Social distancing of 1.5 metre or 4 square metre rule.
• Hygiene practices to continue.
• Avoid sharing tools.
• Regular cleaning of tools and equipment.
• PPE must be worn.
• If you feel sick stay home and get tested.

It’s a complicated situation, these practices might change in accordance with State and Territory recommendations, and if so, we’ll let you know. We will continue to share information with you on our Tools Down Webpage so please continue to check-in to ensure you are up to date.

We can’t stress enough how important it is that you follow the guidelines in place, not only to protect our community but also our industry. We want to ensure we can support and keep work flowing through to you our contractors, as much as possible.

AJ Grant understands this current situation is worrying and we want to take a moment to share the ways we can all help keep the workplace safe, as well as the steps we’ll take as an organisation if and when necessary. For up to date information relevant to the different States and Territories.

Please continue to work safely to ensure everyone on site follow the guidelines in place.
